Changing Poverty through Community Engagement

Background: The Poverty Roundtable Hastings Prince Edward

The Poverty Roundtable was formed in 2013 to look at what we could do, or do differently, to address the causes of poverty and to broaden our capacity to do so by working together.  Poverty rates had dramatically increased between 2005 and 2010, from 10% to 16% in Belleville. The Roundtable came together to understand what was happening in our communities and to look for collective solutions.
